Who are the greatest ever leather scientists?

To coincide with the XXX IULTCS congress, which is due to take place in the Beijing International Hotel, Beijing, China, October 11-14, Leather International magazine will be publishing a review of the greatest ever leather scientists.


Published in the October 2009 edition, Leather International magazine technical editor, Dr Graham Lampard suggests the most influential leather scientists of all time. He lists those who have made a major contribution towards the progression of leather science from pre 1940, 1940-1970 and 1970-2009 with a short summary of who may be the leaders in the leather scientific community of the future.
The IULTCS congress is regarded as the most important forum to discuss the advances in leather and environmental science and technology. Many of those featured in the article have made a major impact within the IULTCS over the years.
