Zero emission tannery loader
1 October 2010Gruppo Mastrotto, one of Italy’s leading tanners, have introduced the ZE (Zero Emission) loader into one of their plants in Arzignano. The ZE is the first non-polluting loader in the tanning industry and is entirely electrically driven.
The company have helped design the loader, which loads hides into the process drums in order to protect the health of workers during the loading operation. The ZE gives off no emissions and is ideal for operating in a confined space.
Gruppo Mastrotto say that the ZE is also easy to maintain and uses less energy than other loading systems.
The company have also achieved ISO 14001 environmental accreditation this year.
