Turkish foreign trade

Turkey's State Statistics Institute reports that Turkey imported raw hides and skins, and leather, worth US$315 million in the first eight months of this year, a year-on-year fall of 21.7%. Turkish exports of the same types of commodities were 8.6% lower year-on-year at US$51.8 million. Turkey also exported leather products worth US$211 million in the January to August period, a year-on-year increase of 2.6%.
