Croatian nine-month production
Croatia's Central Bureau of Statistics reports that the production of leather and leather products in Croatia in the first nine months of this year was 8.6% lower than in the same period in 2004. In comparison, industrial output in Croatia in the January to September period was 4.9% higher year-on-year.
The average gross monthly wage in the Croatian leather industry in the first eight months of this year was US$487, a year-on-year increase of 2.7%. In comparison, the average gross monthly wage in Croatia in the January to August period was 4.3% higher year-on-year at US$1,014.
Croatia exported leather and leather products worth US$68 million in the first nine months of this year, a year-on-year fall of 15.7%. Croatian imports of the same types of commodities were 0.9% lower year-on-year at US$105 million.
