Nairobi Leather fair launched
The first Nairobi international leather and footwear expo and conference will take place at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre from December 1-3, 2005. The organisers describe Nairobi as a hub for eastern and central Africa making it a natural choice for this event.
The event is organised by ESALIA with the support of the African Federation of Leather and Allied Industries (AFLAI) and is described as a testimony to efforts made by the industry, African governments and development agencies including the Common Fund for Commodities, Centre for Development of Enterprises, Unido and the International Trade Centre to integrate the African leather sector into the global market.
