Cromogenia inaugurate Chinese plant
For several years Cromogenia Units Group have been collaborating in the vigorous Chinese leather market. They have been providing service via a commercial office, warehouses, application laboratories, as well as a technical team devoted to advising the tanneries.
In early January this year, Cromogenia Units Group officially inaugurated their facility for the manufacture of chemical products in the city of Jiading near Shanghai. The new factory is aimed at providing a level of service adequate to the rapid expansion of the leather industry in China.
The factory covers an area of 2,000m2, which houses reactors with a capacity to fabricate 10 tonnes of liquid products. There are also facilities for the manufacture of powdered products. The site includes an area of 200m2 dedicated to offices, production control labs and application labs, with a team of 16 people.
Production will be centred around beamhouse, retanning products and fatliquors.
Vicente Benedito, director of the leather division told Leather International 'with these new facilities, Cromogenia Units Group hope to contribute to the spectacular growth of the leather sector in China.'
