Serbia and Montenegro's Statistical Office reports that the production of leather and leather products in Serbia and Montenegro in 2005 was 0.4% higher than in 2004. In comparison, the annual increase in industrial output in Serbia and Montenegro last year was 0.7%.
Estonia's Statistical Office reports that Estonia exported leather and leather products worth US$11.1 million in 2005, as compared with US$8.8 million the previous year. Estonian imports of the same types of commodities in 2005 were worth US$23.5 million, as against US$19.5 million) in 2004.
Croatia's Central Statistics Bureau reports that the production of leather and leather products in Croatia in the first two months of this year was 12.3% higher than in the same period in 2005. In comparison, industrial output in Croatia in the January to February period was 6.6% higher year-on-year.
Ukraine's State Statistics Committee reports that Ukraine exported raw hides and skins, and leather and leather products, worth US$11.9 million in January, a year-on-year fall of 8% cent. Ukrainian imports of the same types of commodities in January were 19.2% higher year-on-year at US$7.4 million
Moldova's National Statistics Office reports that the production of leathergoods in Moldova in the first two months of this year was 0.3% higher than in the same period in 2005. In comparison, industrial output in Moldova in January and February was 1.3% higher year-on-year.
