Fewer Norwegian livestock producers

Statistics Norway reports that at the start of this year, a total of 36,400 livestock producers in Norway had applied for production subsidies, 4.5% fewer than at the start of 2005. For cattle and sheep, the decline in the number of holdings was 5%.
