Hungarian first quarter production

Hungary's Central Statistical Office reports that the production of leather and leather products in Hungary in the first quarter of this year was 72.1% higher than in the same period in 2005. Hungarian leather industry companies saw their sales increase by 73.3% year-on-year in the January to March period, with sales on the domestic market 5.2% higher, and on export markets 99.7% higher, than in the corresponding period last year.
