Italian footwear exports fall

Footwear sector exports in Italy amounted to 6.09 billion euros (US$7.67 billion) for 2005, a decrease from 6.12 billion euros the previous year. Meanwhile, imports rose in value to 2.88 billion euros from 2.58 billion euros in 2004 and domestic consumption increased from 3.38 billion euros to 3.43 billion.
