Stahl Asia wins global status award in Singapore
At the end of May, Stahl Asia Pte Ltd were among fifty Singapore companies to be presented with Global Trader Certificates acknowledging the company's status as a Global Trader under the country's International Enterprise (IE) agency Global Trader Programme (GTP). The certificate marking the award was presented to Mr Rodney Hammond, Managing Director, by the Minister for Trade and Industry, Mr Lim Hng Kiang.
Singapore's IE launched the GTP in June 2001 to develop and recognise international trading activities. Companies who are awarded GTP status enjoy a concessionary tax rate on qualifying income. The scheme also encourages global companies who use Singapore as a regional or global trading base to conduct activities providing value-added input along the chain from procurement to distribution.
Under this scheme, Stahl Asia have made significant contributions to the Singapore economy through their Singapore-based operations. Stahl are fully committed to continuing this by expanding their manufacturing and trading operations in Singapore.
International Enterprise is an agency under the Ministry of Trade and Industry spearheading Singapore's efforts to develop its external economic wing. It was previously known as the Singapore Trade Development Board.
