The Boehme Group are acquired by DyStar
DyStar, a leading supplier of products and services for the textile industry, based in Frankfurt, recently signed an agreement to acquire the business activities of the Boehme Group.
The legal change of ownership will take place as soon as all contractual conditions have been fulfilled. Financial details of the deal will not be disclosed.
Boehme are a company with a long tradition in the leather chemicals sector. They are focused on the manufacture of auxiliaries for the textile and leather industries and are headquartered in Geretsried near Munich, Germany. They have more than 700 employees worldwide.
The acquisition includes all sixteen affiliates and eleven production sites in Argentina, Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, China, Ecuador, Israel, Mexico, South Africa, Thailand and the USA.
'Boehme broadens our extensive product offering for the textile industry and strengthens our position in the leather business', says DyStar's CEO Dr Clemens Willée. 'Our combined expertise will make us an even more reliable partner for our customers in the future.'
Like DyStar, Boehme are a major supplier to the textile and leather industries. Their textile products cover pretreatment, dyeing, laundry, finishing and coating textile processes. Their offering for the leather industry includes pretreatment agents as well as products for tanning, dyeing and finishing.
Boehme also manufacture additives for the plastics, paper, rubber and adhesives sectors.
