Michael Thamm
Michael Thamm has been appointed new regional head of marketing and sales for leather chemicals in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and has transferred to the LANXESS site in Milan. Michael Thamm joined Bayer AG in 1988. After completing his training as a commercial assistant, he was employed in the former dyes and pigments business group.
He gained international experience first in Morocco, where he worked from 1992 to 1996, and then in Brazil, where he was head of the leather business unit until 2000. Following his return to Leverkusen, Thamm spent three years in product management in the finishing department. He has been head of the leather business unit's regional centre for northern Europe since 2003.
