Stahl fatliquors for softer leathers
Two new fatliquors have been introduced into the Stahl range for use in producing softer leathers. Both products possess excellent light fastness and resistance to heat yellowing which makes them highly suitable for use on leathers which will be finished in white and pastel shades.
Salem LCN is a highly concentrated lecithin based oil which is suitable for all types of soft leather to give a classic silky touch to the surface. Typical applications include leathers for soft and tight shoe uppers for which Salem LCN has no negative effect on grain break. Salem LCN is also highly recommended for use on automotive leathers due to its exceptional fogging resistance properties.
The second product, Corilene VSN, is a blend of sulfonated and sulfated synthetic oils with excellent penetration properties that allow even and thorough lubrication of the fibre structure throughout the cross-section of the leather. This results in a pleasant soft handle, which with its exceptional lightfastness properties, makes the product highly suitable for use on leathers for soft shoes, nappa, furniture and garments, where inner softness and roundness are very important. It is also suitable for leather where little or no finish will be applied such as nubuck and suede splits.
