Chinese shoes dominate in Latvia

Latvia's Light Industry Association says that half the shoes sold in Latvia are now imported from China, according to Baltic Business News. However, in value terms, Chinese shoes account for only a sixth of the Latvian shoe market. This is due to their generally low prices. Many Latvian shoe retailers are importing shoes directly from Chinese manufacturers.
