Corium - a single source
Corium Quimica were founded in 1996, as a result of a decision by Rohm and Haas to outsource the sales and technical support for their leather industry products. Corium began to represent Rohm and Haas in Brazil and subsequently added Langro Chemie Germany to their portfolio, allowing Corium to offer a full line of finishing products to tanneries.
In 2003 Corium also took over the agency of Smit & Zoon Holland, a company well known for their fatliquors and retanning products. In 2004 a co-operation was begun with American Chemicals, Uruguay, thus completing the range of products offered by Corium Quimica.
Corium Quimica's facility in Novo Hamburgo opened in June 2005. The complex houses R&D, production and quality control as well as an applications lab. The company have a team of 15 technicians who provide technical advice on the use of these products. There is an additional warehouse and distribution centre located in São Paulo state.
Export markets include China and five Latin American countries including Argentina.
