Capacity utilisation in the Philippines

The Philippines National Statistics Office reports that the Philippines' leather industry was operating at 83.1% of its total capacity in August, compared with 83.5% in July and 83.8% in August 2005. In comparison, the manufacturing sector as a whole was operating at 80.3% capacity in August this year. The production of leather products in the Philippines in August was 21.9% lower than in July and 31.4 per cent lower than in August 2005.
