Ukraine nine-month foreign trade

Ukraine's State Statistics Committee reports that Ukraine exported leather and leather products worth US$196 million in the first nine months of this year, a year-on-year increase of 30.3%. Ukrainian imports of the same types of commodities in the January to September period were 16.9% higher year-on-year at US$95 million.

Production of leather and leather products in Ukraine in the first ten months of this year was 12.6% higher than in the same period in 2005. In comparison, industrial output in Ukraine in the January to October period was 5.3% higher year-on-year.
