Statistics Norway reports that the country produced 60,602 cow carcases for human consumption in the first half of this year, compared with 59,832 in the same period last year. A total of 132,953 sheep carcases were approved for human consumption in the January to June period this year, as against 125,499 in the corresponding period in 2005.
