Russian foreign trade in 2006

Russia's Federal Customs Service reports that Russia imported leather shoes from member countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) worth US$6.5 million in 2006, a substantial year-on-year increase of 58.3%, according to the Interfax news agency. The value of leather shoes imported from non-CIS states increased by 110% year-on-year to US$652 million. Russia imported a total of 42.8 million pairs of leather shoes worth a total of US$658.5 million in 2006.
