Slaughter and cattle figures

Bosnia and Herzegovina's Federal Office of Statistics reports that 108,767 head of cattle were slaughtered at abattoirs in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2006, 5.9% lower than in 2005.
Russian agricultural producers had an estimated 21 million cattle, a decrease of 1.2% as compared with the number on the same date in 2006, according to the Interfax news agency. The mortality rate decreased from 2.5% in 2005 to 2.4% in 2006.
