Irish foreign trade

Ireland's Central Statistics Office reports that Ireland exported raw livestock hides and skins worth €14.3 million in the first two months of this year, as compared with €15.2 million in the same period in 2006. Ireland also imported the same types of commodities worth €300,000 in January and February, as against E600,000 in the same months last year.
The number of cattle slaughtered in Ireland in the first four months of this year was 2.6% higher than in the same period in 2006.
