Leather industry wages

Macedonia's State Statistical Office has reported a substantial increase in the average gross monthly wage in the country's leather industry in the first quarter of this year. Wages increased by 21.7% year-on-year, as compared with the annual increase in wages in Macedonia's manufacturing sector of 5%.
Ukraine's State Statistics Committee reports that the average gross monthly wage in the Ukrainian leather industry in the first four months of this year was US$149, as compared with US$121 in the same period in 2006.
