Romanian bovine numbers

Romania's National Statistics Institute reports that there were a total of 2.93 million head of bovine livestock on farms in Romania on December 1, 2006, compared with 2.86 million on the same date in 2005. The largest number of bovine livestock in terms of region on December 1 last year was in the North-East region with 682,172 followed by the North-West region with 498,607.
