New features at Anpic 2007
ANPIC 2007 included international pavilions from Brazil, Spain, and the Czech Republic while the following countries were also represented by exhibiting companies: Argentina, France, Taiwan, Australia, Germany, United States, India, Slovenia, Uruguay, Chile, South Africa, China, Italy, Japan, Sweden South Korea and Switzerland.
Foreign companies made up 31% of exhibitors, and totaled 377.
The make up of exhibitors was as follows:
* 28% Shoe Machinery and Equipment
* 5% Tanning Machinery and Equipment
* 14% Hides and Leather
* 14% Chemical Products
The total number of visitors to the fair was 23,476.
New concepts
The Great Fashion Hall with a fresh, innovative concept which displayed the Fashion Trends for the Autumn - Winter 2007/2008 Season. The fashions were presented by ANPIC and Italian and Mexican designers of international renown.
The Trend Area and the Fashion shows were coordinated by ANPIC, and displayed trends titled Teutonic Zen and Romance Folk.
The following conferences were presented in the Great Fashion Hall:
* Fashion, Technique and Trends by Paolo Marenghi, ARS ARPEL, Italy
* Spring - Summer Fashion Trends 08 by Ilana Azeneth, Assintecal, Brazil
* Autumn - Winter Fashion Trends 2007/08 by Norma Verdín and Rodolfo Durán ANPIC, Mexico
In an effort to promote the growth and development of the industry, the Financing Hall was presented for the first time, which gave ompanies from the footwear-leather supply chain direct contact with national and international bank institutions and the opportunity to access credit lines.
