Teflon new automotive top coat
DuPont Chemical Solutions are currently collaborating with Sommer SpA and were sharing their stand at Tanning Tech. They have signed a distribution contract with Sommer who also act as a formulator and technology partner with regional responsibilities.
In Bologna, they announced a new top coat development for automotive leather which contains Teflon anti-soiling protection. The target application is for automotive leather seats, steering wheel covers, gearshift pommel, head restraints, seat pockets and door inserts. They say that the benefits of the product are that it satisfies the requirements of the auto makers in terms of physical properties and additionally offers anti-soiling protection, ease of cleaning, keeps the leather looking newer for longer and offers the Teflon brand interest.
