Irish eleven-month cattle slaughter

Ireland's Central Statistics Office reports that the number of cattle slaughtered in Ireland in the first eleven months of 2005 was 6.7% lower than in the same period the previous year.
Ireland imported raw hides and skins, and leather, worth 2.1 million euro in the first ten months of 2005, compared with 2.4 million euro in the same period the previous year. Irish exports of the same types of commodities in the January to October 2005 period were worth 58.9 million euro, as against 70.4 million euro in the corresponding period in 2004.
