Cartigliano video shows inline drying
Published: 19 December, 2005
Based on an installation at Boxmark in Austria, Cartigliano were showing a video demonstrating a processing line which measures the leather at the outset and continues to measure at every stage, after the first wet stretch, after table vacuum drying and second wet stretch. Then the leather is conditioned, enters the drying tunnel and is finally staked before being measured again.
The whole system can handle 100-120 hides/hour. After sammying, the leather measured 56.2 sq ft and, at the end of the process, 63.1 sq ft.
