Braam Keyser obituary
Braam Keyser, managing director of Feltex Automotive Leathers, Ladysmith, South Africa, died of a heart attack on October 25. He was only 48.
Braam was born in 1957 and appointed managing director of Feltex in March 2001. He had a successful career and made great headway with this company establishing many new business ventures both locally and overseas.
Feltex Automotive Leathers is the successor company of 'KAL', which succeeded Kolosus, which in turn was the successor of the merged Ladysmith Leathers and King Tanning Company. (Ladysmith Leathers was the fusion of Silverton and Silver Oak).
Today the main shareholder is Daun Et Cie AG, which owns AHT (African Hide Trading).
Production director Tony Walsh will be acting managing director until an appointment is made.
