Global brands join footwear conference
Global brands Adidas, Nike, Timberland and Clarks have signed-up to speak at the Footwear Leather Conference which will be held prior to the APLF show next March.
Leather International magazine and BLC Leather Technology Centre, coorganisers of the event, have put together a distinguished line-up of leading footwear and footwear leather manufacturers.
Topics to be discussed include the latest developments relating to sourcing, technology, the environment and manufacturing.
'The event will be an excellent opportunity to ascertain global brand expectations in relation to their leather suppliers as well as looking at new technologies', says Martin Ricker, commercial manager, Leather International.
'In addition the conference will provide an excellent platform for tanners and footwear producers to network and build relationships.'
The one-day conference will take place at the Hong Kong Conference and Exhibition Centre on March 27, 2006. Fair organisers APLF Ltd and leather chemical producers LANXESS have already signed as sponsors.
