Kazakhstan livestock production

Kazakhstan's State Statistics Agency reports that livestock production in Kazakhstan in 2007 increased by 4% year-on-year to a value of US$3.9 billion, according to the Interfax news agency.
The number of cattle in Kazakhstan on January 1, 2008 was 5.85 million, 3.4% more than at the start of 2007. Sheep and goat numbers were 5.2% higher at 16.2 million.
