Serbian leather production and trade
Serbia's Statistical Office reports that the production of leather and leather products in Serbia in 2007 was 2.2% lower than in 2006. In comparison, Serbian industrial output in 2007 was 3.7% higher year-on-year.
Serbia exported leather and leather products worth E161 million in 2007, compared with E134 million in 2006. Serbian imports of the same types of commodities in 2007 were worth E234 million, as against E183 million in 2006. Leather and leather products accounted for 2.5% of Serbia's total exports in 2007, compared with 2.6% the previous year.
