Vietnamese reduction in Corporate Tax?

Vietnam's Finance Ministry is proposing a reduction in the rate of corporate tax from 28% to 25% per cent from January 1, 2009, according to the Vietnamese News Agency.
This would be the first change in corporate tax for four years. However, proposals have also been made to increase value added tax (VAT) on many types of machinery from 5% to 10%.
