Bosnia and Herzegovina production rises
Bosnia and Herzegovina's Federal Office of Statistics reports that the production of leather and leather products in Bosnia and Herzegovina in January was 54.2% higher than in December and 18.8% higher than in January 2007. In comparison, industrial output in Bosnia and Herzegovina in January was 7.3% lower month-on-month and 7.8% higher year-on-year.
33,703 head of cattle of a total net weight of 5,860 tonnes were slaughtered in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the fourth quarter of 2007, respectively 11.8% and 23.1% more than in the same period in 2006.
The average monthly net wage in the leather industry in Bosnia and Herzegovina in December 2007 was US$262, a month-on-month decrease of 1.7%.
