Croatian foreign trade in January
Croatia's Central Bureau of Statistics reports that Croatia exported leather and leather products worth US$27.9 million in January, a year-on-year increase of 15.6%. Croatian imports of the same types of commodities in January were 20.3% higher year-on-year at US$26.8 million.
Production of leather and leather products in Croatia in January was 15.7% higher than in January 2007. In comparison, industrial output in Croatia in January was 6.7% higher year-on-year.
The average gross monthly wage in the Croatian leather industry in 2007 was US$723, a year-on-year increase of 6.5%. In comparison, the average gross monthly wage in Croatia in 2007 was 6.2% higher year-on-year at US$1,474.
