Irish livestock slaughter in January

Ireland's Central Statistics Office reports that the number of cattle slaughtered in Ireland in January, 137,600 head, was 10.4% lower than in the same month in 2007. The number of sheep slaughtered, 215,900, was 0.6% lower year-on-year.
