Stahl to extend Waalwijk laboratories
Stahl are building an important extension of the International Leather Technical Centre at their headquarters in Waalwijk, the Netherlands. This investment in a laboratory extension is worth millions of euros and will enable a higher level of services to be provided to customers, including the possibility of developing new exclusive articles specific to their local needs to be formulated and applied under controlled conditions.
The facility will be available for customer training to expand experience and understanding of product and application technology.
The laboratory extension will contain a number of new features that are perfectly matched with Stahl's innovative and entrepreneurial skills, exactly addressing customer and market requirements. New equipment to be installed in the laboratory will include a rotary spray line, drying tunnels, a roller coater and a variety of small equipment and utilities. The existing lab space will be modified to construct a colour room equipped with a spray booth, a light cabin and smaller items.
These new facilities strongly support Stahl's strategy to strengthen their global product leadership position. The official opening of the International Leather Technical Centre is expected to take place in September 2008.
