Serbian production and foreign trade

Serbia's Statistical Office reports that the production of leather and leather products in Serbia in the first two months of this year was 4% higher than in the same period in 2007. In comparison, Serbian industrial output in January and February was 8% higher year-on-year.

Serbia exported leather and leather products worth E27.2 million in the first two months of this year, compared with E23.6 million in the same period in 2007. Serbian imports of the same types of commodities in January and February were worth E45.3 million, as against E33.3 million in the corresponding months in 2007.
