Croatia's Central Bureau of Statistics reports that the average gross monthly wage in the Croatian leather industry in January was US$749), a year-on-year increase of 3.8%. In comparison, the average gross monthly wage in Croatia in January was 7.4% higher year-on-year at US$1,594.

Macedonia's State Statistical Office reports that the average gross monthly wage in the Macedonian leather industry in January was US$268, 4.4% lower than in December and 36.5% higher than in January 2007. In comparison, the average gross monthly wage in Macedonia's manufacturing sector in January was 10.7% higher year-on-year at US$519.
