Hungarian first quarter production

Hungary's Central Statistical Office reports that the production of leather and leather products in Hungary in the first quarter of this year was 38.1% higher than in the same period in 2007.
Leather and leather products manufacturers' sales in the first quarter were 37.9% higher year-on-year, with an increase in sales of 4.6% on the domestic Hungarian market and 43% higher sales on export markets.
The number of cattle in Hungary on April 1 this year was 695,000, compared with 710,000 on the same date in 2007.
