DK Leather Corporation to expand
DK Leather Corporation Bhd want to acquire the remaining 70% of Thailand-incorporated DK Schweizer Thailand Ltd, which makes automotive leather upholstery, from various Thai individuals for 1.4 million baht, resulting in it becoming a wholly owned subsidiary.
DK said DK Thailand would undertake business expansion in that country. ‘Being the largest automotive producer in Southeast Asia, Thailand offers growth opportunities for DK Corp due to its growing presence as a manufacturing and export hub', it said, adding that it would finance the acquisition by internal funds.
DKT's manufacturing operation started in July 2005. It makes automotive leather upholstery for Honda, Mazda, Toyota, Nissan and Volvo vehicles.
