Leather industry wages
Macedonia's State Statistical Office reports that the average gross monthly wage in the Macedonian leather industry in the first quarter of this year was US$273, 48.2% higher than in the same period last year.
In comparison, the average gross monthly wage in Macedonia's manufacturing sector in the first quarter was 7.9% higher year-on-year at US$506.
Poland's Central Statistics Office reports that the average gross monthly wage in Poland's leather industry in the first four months of this year was US$826, a year-on-year increase of 10.4%. In comparison, the average gross monthly wage in Poland in the January to April period was 11.9% higher year-on-year at US$1,415.
Ukraine's State Statistics Committee reports that the average gross monthly wage in Ukraine's leather industry in the first four months of this year was US$199, compared with US$155 in the same period in 2007. The average monthly industrial wage in Ukraine in the January to April period this year was US$388.
