Serbian production and trade

Serbia's Statistical Office reports that the production of leather and leather products in Serbia in the first four months of this year was 0.3% lower than in the same period in 2007. In comparison, Serbian industrial output in the January to April period this year was 5.3% higher year-on-year.

Serbia exported leather and leather products worth E57.0 million in the first four months of this year, compared with E49.1 million in the same period in 2007. Serbian imports of the same types of commodities in the January to April period this year were worth E99.5 million, as against E81.2 million in the corresponding period in 2007.
