LHBTI presidential appeal raises record sum
|
The Leather & Hide Trades' Benevolent Institution (LHTBI) held their annual lunch following the annual general meeting at the Leathersellers' Hall on May 22, 2008, and the committee were delighted to have a record number of leather trade personnel present.
The retiring president, Roy Winnard, was the first president to serve a two-year term and his appeal raised a wonderful sum of nearly £9,000 in his second year. A remarkable achievement when added to his first year total of £6,500 for 2006/07.
The LHTBI welcomed the incoming president, Paul Patrick, of the Patrick Leather Company of Sutton Coldfield.
The pictures show Roy Winnard addressing the gathering and also presenting flowers to the secretary, Karen Harriman.
