Croatian five-month production and trade

Croatia's Central Bureau of Statistics reports that the production of leather and leather products in Croatia in the first five months of this year was 16.8% higher than in the same period in 2007. In comparison, industrial output in Croatia was 3.6% higher year-on-year.
Croatia exported leather and leather products worth US$156 million in the first five months of this year, a year-on-year increase of 10.9%. Croatian imports of the same types of commodities in the January to May period were 16.7% higher year-on-year at US$215 million.
