JBS-Swift biogas facility receives funding
JBS-Swift & Co's foray into bioenergy will move forward after getting a hefty financial boost.
Environmental Power Corp have announced that their subsidiary, Microgy Grand Island LLC, have completed financial arrangements involving the sale of $7 million of tax-exempt bonds issued by the city of Grand Island, Nebraska.
The bond proceeds will be used to finance construction of a biogas facility adjacent to the JBS-Swift beef plant in Grand Island. The biogas facility is already under construction and is expected to begin producing biogas by the end of the year.
