Serbian first-half production
Serbia's Statistical Office reports that the production of leather and leather products in Serbia in the first half of this year was 4.3% lower than in the same period in 2007. In comparison, Serbian industrial output in the January to June period this year was 4.1% higher year-on-year.
Serbia exported leather and leather products worth E88.3 million in the first half of this year, compared with E77.5 million in the same period in 2007. Serbian imports of the same types of commodities in the January to June period this year were worth E139 million, as against E116 million in the corresponding period in 2007.
