Hungarian production and sales

Hungary's Central Statistical Office reports that Hungary imported leather and leather products worth E217 million in the first ten months of this year, a year-on-year decrease of 6%.

Hungary exported the same types of commodities worth E110 million in the January to October period this year, a year-on-year decrease of 6.5%.

Production of leather and leather products in Hungary in the first ten months of this year was 9.3% higher than in the same period in 2007. Leather and leather products manufacturers' sales in the January to October period were 9.7% higher year-on-year, with an increase in sales of 10.7% on the domestic Hungarian market and 9.6% higher sales on export markets.
