Croatian slaughter

Croatia's Central Bureau of Statistics reports that 54,709 head of cattle of a total net weight of 10,694 tonnes were slaughtered in abattoirs in Croatia in the fourth quarter of 2008, 9% lower in both number and weight terms as compared with the same quarter in 2007.
