Zschimmer & Schwarz acquire Münzing

Leather chemical maker, Zschimmer & Schwarz, have acquired the leather business of Münzing which will be integrated into the existing Zschimmer & Schwarz Leather Auxiliaries Division.

The transaction will be effective from March 31st, 2009 and includes all Münzing leather and fur chemicals as well as customer relationships. Münzing are located in Heilbronn, Germany.

According to a statement from Zschimmer & Schwarz the acquisition forms part of the company's growth strategy and extends their leather chemical product portfolio, particularly for shoe upper leather products.

Zschimmer & Schwarz are a family owned business founded in 1894 in Lahnstein, near Koblenz, Germany. They have active markets throughout the world including, Italy, China, Brazil and Argentina.
